Janell Kierstein is a clinical genetic counselor and Senior Instructor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado Denver Health Sciences Center. She completed her graduate degree in Genetic Counseling in 2000 and has spent most of her career in the field of biochemical genetics. Ms. Kierstein specializes in the diagnosis and management of individuals with lysosomal and peroxisomal disorders. She has been involved with patient and provider education, legislative advocacy, disease registries and clinical trials on  state, regional and national levels.
